In the Round is a great place to learn and gain experience. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed. You are encouraged to think creatively and share your opinions. Unlike a traditional style internship you are given a lot of independence and an array of challenging, real-life projects.

One of my favorite experiences during my time at ITR was working on the Stark Act I website. StarkACT I is a 10 day event that raises awareness of the arts in Canton. With light supervision I was able to design the entire website from start to finish. Since I live in Canton and am somewhat of a creative it felt good to know I was part of bringing together artists and fans of the arts from all over Canton.

My internship ended with stronger portfolio and resume as well as a deeper knowledge of web languages and conventions. Upon the completion of my time at In the Round I was able to land a full-time job as a web designer with an established company. If you are looking for hands on experience working on real-life projects I think an internship ITR would be a good experience for you.
